That’s not a title, that’s a lie. A very badly thought up lie. But it still was fun to have lunch at LJS’s with the NP people. Time of suanning and shooting. Don’t be fooled, our marksmanship has nothing to do with this. Ha. Time of chatting too. Talking about when each other’s exams will finish so we can all go out together. We had lunch at Novena Square’s LJS’s. In the end, we still returned to the Entertainment Centre at TPY. Yes, there is an LJS’s there too. Haha. We went back there to shoot some hoops – at the arcade. Well, from there, one by one, everyone left. Except for 3 of us, that is. Haha, pool time! After that, was the time where all of us went home. Except for Benson he had an NPCC meeting. Heh. Oh yeah, check out Benson’s blog for a taste of what its like to lose a water bottle in plain sight.
Super Ultra Great Mega Delicious Long John Silver’s
September 5, 2008Happy Birthday Meryl!
July 9, 2008
Last Saturday was a blast.
We celebrated Meryl’s birthday! Not even the rain could stop us.
The rain came again, but it didn’t bother us! We were just joking
away, and ‘suanning’ away.
That’s (from left to right) Meryl, Gilbert, Shuqi and Elton’s arm
Haha. We had our lunch at the Botak Jones a walk away from
Beatty.
Then we left, and headed for some remote void deck to have some
cake. It was the remote void deck where we used to have our NP
de-briefs.
You see, the difference is not so evident with my photography skills
The cake tasted quite nice. Maybe because it was all chocolate.
Heh.
Birthday Girl’s cake
This isn’t exactly a smile. This is a ‘I’m laughing so hard I can’t open my eyes’ smile. Works the same with Benson too.
Birthday Girl’s smile
Something I noticed: Shuqi’s face is always ready for a shot. So photogenic! She always faces the camera! Haha.
Something else I noticed: Benson’s face is never ready for a shot.

Re-group
January 22, 2008Life was being not so nice to me. Thankfully, Meryl organised a get-together for us NP people last Sunday. And she was proposing that we study together. It was not a bad idea, but its never a good idea. As expected, more people lost concentration than kept it. There were only 6 of us-Meryl, Shuqi, Shermin, Lishi, Gilbert and me.
At first we went to the Community Centre “study rooms” that Meryl had initially rented out for us. Turns out, we didn’t have the whole room to ourselves. And it was not a good thing to keep us talkative people in those noise-forbidden places. There were 2 other people in there, a guy and another girl, separately. For a moment those 2 went out, and there was sound. Ah.
And, turns out that the rented room was only meant for the person with access to the room-Meryl. All of us had to find some other place when the in-charge came to get us outta there. We suspected one of those inside the room with us ratted us out. Sheesh. Sigh. And, like I had forseen in my crystal ball of study-group-turnout-predictions, we went to a void deck. Which was close to Shuqi’s house.
No pictures, sorry.
Annuality
November 12, 2007Last saturday was the so-called ‘annual chalet’ of the NP group along with some other good friends. Another time of chatting and catching up with each other and senseless eating and cycling.
I came early on the first day. Like, in the morning. Benson, Gilbert, Anthony and Yik Jiun were there already, and they were there the night before. And they were playing with the PS2. The game was Narutimette Hero 3! But few characters were unlocked, which made it kinda boring. After a few matches we just went out to grab a bite at Macdonalds.
Lishi and Clarence came soon after and then Meryl, Shuqi, and Elton. It was a really crazy time, with great food, card playing, tv watching, and night cycling. Can’t elaborate more. Tired.
Yesterday
July 11, 2007School’s feeling kinda repetitive right now. Its like we’re robots programmed to follow this set of instructions for the whole week. And, surprisingly, it doesn’t feel bad. Just boring.
Yesterday was Meryl’s birthday, so Happy Birthday Meryl! Don’t think she’ll see this though. Half the NP gang was there. Elton, Soon Heng, Shermin, Zhi Xian, Benson, Gilbert, Clarence, Shuqi and I attended her party thing at her house. Elton was late. As usual :X
We tried to give Meryl a surprise but, we kinda failed. Heh. And Meryl’s parents, I think, bought pizza for us! My goodness. For those out there who don’t know me so well, I just love pizza. Had 2 slices only though(gotta be considerate, heh). Then, there was something else that they bought that was outta this world. KFC!
Speaking of which, at the time we reached Meryl’s house, Shuqi was still on her way there. We expected the next knock on the door to be her, but we were wrong! Shermin flung the door open, shouting Shuqi’s name, expecting her to be there, only to find the KFC delivery man! HAHAHA! Beyond funny.
Later we all left after having cake, and having some of it smeared all over Meryl’s face. Here come the pimples! Heh. Nice meeting them to chat again.
Been there, passed out..
May 24, 2007Yesterday was the Passing out of the NCOs’ of Beatty NPCC 06/07. Met Benson, Gilbert and Soon Heng at the coffeeshop outside Beatty like always. But once we went in there was trouble. Mr. Singh was there. He saw us visitors coming and stopped us. Then, like always, he started lecturing us. “You boy, I remember you, now ah, come in with shorts and long hair, what will parents think when they come in? hah?”
Who the hell would care? I mean, parents? I don’t remember seeing any. And he told us that if we didn’t come in proper attire, parents would call Beatty and say something to do with our clothing. What the hell?! Kinda stupid dontcha think? I mean, if I wake up in the morning and I look out my window and see some people in Beatty secondary clad in shorts, I don’t call up the principal and tell him that!
I know attire is important, but we don’t look like ghosts or demons from hell either. A little long hair?? A pair of shorts?? Wearing those don’t make any guy look like a gangster hell-bent on burning down the school. Society is too quick to judge.
Mr. Singh said he asked Ms Fauziah about whether to let us in and told us that he could let anyone he deemed fit in. He came back to us saying,”Miss Fauziah said whoever wants to go in must go through me first.” Hell, no one would wanna go through your tuft of fat.
Gilbert and a not-so-happy Soon Heng were asked to leave the school. Then again, Gilbert’s hairstyle wasn’t long. It was okay, nothing wrong with it at all. Mr. Singh was pissing all of us off. Clearly. Me and Benson still looked okay in his eyes. I thought that he would definitely say something about my fringe, which covers part of my eyebrows. Thankfully, he let me through along with Benson. Elton arrived and was also asked to leave because of his bermudas. Come on, he didn’t and doesn’t look anything like a gangster. If anything, he looked like a two-goody-shoes.
Two cadets, namely Yang Jing and Brandon, came out to the foyer to hand us long pants. Elton could finally come in. Soon Heng, on the other hand, still sadly could not enter because of his long hair. It wasn’t that long, come on!
After all that, Elton, Benson and I watched the POP rehearsal for 15 minutes or so, then trouble started brewing. Soon Heng decided to climb over the fence behind the canteen, to get into Beatty. He called Benson to tell him. Benson walked over and of all the bad luck, Mr. Singh was there. He brought Soon Heng managed to escape and Benson was brought to the General Office. Even Elton was brought in to be questioned, but he wasn’t in any real trouble.
I waited for them to come out and while waiting, Yu Ning, Hui Yi and Shi Ying came. The CIs’ May Lwin, Ming Liang, Shang Ming and H.O.(Honourary Officer)(wow) Ruo Hui were already in Beatty. Muhd Noh a.k.a. Horny was also there! He’s in Singapore Polytechnic Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering too! We all talked and chatted about stuff, updating each other. Hui Yi is also in Singapore Polytechnic. Whatta coincidence. Haha.
Benson and Elton came out soon and joined us.
POP finished and we were soon taken up to the AVA room for performances by the different level squads. Most of them were videos. Went home after a truckload of pizza and chatting with Brendan and Zhi Xian. No pictures… Because Brendan a.k.a. lao da, hasn’t sent me any photos. Oh well.
Happy POP!
